Pricing
We realize our turkeys cost more than an average supermarket turkey. Heritage Turkeys take much longer to reach maturity (nearly twice as long: 26-30 weeks as opposed to 12-16 weeks for the BBW) and to feed them organic feed for that long is very expensive (this is the bulk of our cost).
It is very rare to find turkeys that are Heritage breeds and free range and organic (and fresh).
We have not found a price that matches ours for a bird of the same quality. There is a reason for this: We are not doing this for a business and are happy to at least break even (as long as we get to put a few in the freezer for ourselves--our primary goal is healthy food for our family--oh, and I promised my two oldest boys $100 each for their 7 months hard work and help ; ).
We can't imagine there is anyone who puts as much love, time, money, and energy into their turkeys. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.
Our turkeys are very flavorful and juicy. Customers have told us it's the best turkey they've ever had. I know it's the best that we've ever had--not a fair comparison honestly--it is almost a different animal.
This summer my dad and brothers came out from Arizona to visit. I saved one for them to prove to them I am not just exaggerating. My dad would just say a turkey is a turkey. His response was, "This isn't Turkey. It's Turkey-Steak!" And now he and my oldest brother want me to ship each of them one this Thanksgiving.

All of our turkeys will be fresh this year, not frozen, and are $7.00/lb.
Please let us know your size preference and we will do our best to accommodate your request--there are a very limited number with many sold to those who had one last year. We will not know the exact sizes available until the 22nd of November. Those who have sent in a deposit go on a list and we accommodate the earliest requests first.
We can inform you of the exact size and price once the turkeys are processed on the 22nd of November.
Ordering
Orders may be made by email or by telephone. Please inform us of the approximate size desired, the preferred payment method, and when you would like to pick up the turkey.
Payment
We request a $30.00 deposit at the time of order to reserve your bird. We have a very limited supply so please order soon to ensure your Heritage Turkey.
The deposit can be paid by check (made out to Mary Keisling) and mailed to our address or sent via Paypal. The remainder is due when the turkey is picked up and can be paid for with cash or check, or paid for in full before pickup through Paypal.
